Pacfren (Panificadora Ampuria Brava) is a company with strong roots in Catalonia.

The Cullell family’s original company was founded in 1975 at Castelló d’Empúries, and in 2001 it moved to Vilamalla (Girona), where it occupied an area of 22,000 m2. The owners, Narcís Cullell and his children, were descendants of Joan Cullell, who started the family’s adventure in this sector in 1862. To begin with, they made fresh bread, but in the 90s they entered the frozen dough market due to its multiple advantages. Since then PACFREN, has had a great track record; in 2004, it doubled the 2000 results.
