Goodbye to an unusual but, despite everything, exciting, year
We say goodbye to 2021. An unusual year, no doubt, which started with restrictions and end with not a few challenges ahead. The good thing about it? That we really want to continue facing everything that awaits us.
December 2021 is fading and that entails making the traditional assessment of the year. To observe where we came from, to assess where we’ve got to, and to sketch where we want to go. It has not exactly been a year without challenges, but if one thing’s clear, it’s that we face the future with great optimism and want to continue doing what we do best: offering our customers the best products to keep moving forward and growing.
2021 started with restrictions and much doubt. Throughout this year we’ve been returning to normality; a normality to which we have clung tightly so as not to turn back on the path we’ve walked (how many moments we treasure in that journey, step by step). And that hasn’t meant it’s been easy, given that, as we know, the pandemic remains a powerful rival we must defeat with the strength and unity of us all.
Despite everything, for us 2021 has been marked by perseverance and commitment. This year, we’ve done our best to do our bit to reactivate activity in our sector. And we’ve done so as we know best: by developing attractive, competitive products for our customers and, therefore, for the consumer.
You need only refer to them. Decorated pains au chocolat, for example, are products that have proven themselves in bakeries and cafeterias. Thanks to frozen doughs for bakeries, which keep their traditional qualities intact, and their excellent taste and texture, they can be found at all establishments. The fact that they are already decorated, moreover, is a good thing because it makes our customers’ work easier (much easier). You can choose between the caramel and butter pain au chocolat, the fermented chocolate super pain au chocolat, the pain au chocolat, the fermented cream pain au chocolat, and the irresistible fermented, decorated pain au chocolat, among other options.
The same goes for muffins. Spongy, with flavours ranging from vanilla to cocoa, caramel to blueberry, and decorated with delicious crunchy crocanti, crunchy pearls or chocolate cubes, they’ll delight those with a sweet tooth: the Nuts & Cream muffin, the Passion Red muffin, the Choco Bomb muffin and the Carrot Cake muffin add other products, by the way...as succulent as the intense croissant with sourdough Hélène, one of those foods that has seduced us this season thanks to its enveloping buttery flavour and exquisite caramel aromatic notes; and the coulant, a delicious dessert made of sponge with melting chocolate, a moist-textured dough and a consistent flavour of simply sublime chocolate.
Savoury snacks have also been a great revelation this year because, little by little, we’ve again shared our table with our loved ones. Puff pastry pies, mini pies of different flavours and assorted mini pains, among other products, have made our customers’ lives much easier.
And breads, what can you say about breads! From seed bread with corn and sunflower seeds, great flavour and a golden and crunchy crust, to water bread, with a fresh crumb, greater durability and an attractive artisan appearance. The rustic loaf made with pH 4.8 sourdough and the buckwheat loaf made with pH 4.8 sourdough, have also evidenced this year that sourdough is here to stay and all the benefits it offers, not only for businesses, but also for consumers.
A year with a lot to tell
In 2021, we’ve also launched a new website and our social media channels, so as to be closer to our customers and thus provide them with all the information about our products, articles offering help and advice for their business. And the fact is that our family business DNA ensures we look after each member of this ecosystem just as we do ourselves.
Digital is important and, of course, shouldn’t be neglected, but we mustn’t forget to thank traditional channels, and especially the hospitality sector, for the great effort and tenacity they have shown during 2021. Without a doubt, that will of steel, which can achieve anything, will lead us to the longed-for normality soon.
What do we ask of 2022? To continue giving the best of ourselves. We have many projects in the pipeline, things we’re eager to learn, and challenges we want to face. Together with you, our customers, we’re convinced that the 2022 journey will be as interesting and enriching as 2021 has been.
Because, at Panamar Bakery Group, our origin is our commitment.
Thank you for joining us in this wonderful adventure; we’ll continue in 2022!
